Venus Conjunct Uranus in Taurus: A Grand Finale

She’s done. Glamorous, exhausted, and done.

That’s how I picture Venus right now as she meets Uranus at 29° Taurus, her final moment in the comfort of her home sign. But it doesn’t exactly feel comfortable anymore with his looming and intense presence. It feels tight, stale. Like silk sheets you once adored but now make your skin itch.

This is the anaretic degree and Uranus teaming up to make the moment before the goodbye even more powerful than it already is. The last degree in astrology is the last breath before the leap, where things become urgent, exaggerated, and the planet's energy feels desperate to resolve any loose ends from it's trip there. It's like the panic you feel when it's time to sweep the hotel room before check out and you feel like you're forgetting something important.

The planet of love, beauty, relationships, creativity, worth, and values, is in exact conjunction with Uranus, a planet of disruption, liberation, and electricity. It's lighting a match under everything, even the pieces of ourselves and our lives we swore we’d never let go of. It’s kind of poetic when you think about how Venus was born, especially when you consider the tight sextile to Saturn. Venus was born from this kind of chaos, cut from the violence between sky and time itself, the castration of Uranus by Saturn with a sickle forged by Gaia (Earth). From that severance, the pieces fell into the ocean and seafoam rose, and so did she.

But she didn’t return to the sea, she claimed her place among the gods, ascending to Olympus, and taking up her rightful space in the heavens. Now at the final degree of Taurus, an earth sign connected with Gaia’s body, she’s not even considering jumping back into the ocean. She’s standing on her shell, looking out beyond the wreckage of old myths, and deciding if she’s ready to step off it completely.

I have her rolling her eyes, taking a long drag from a smoke and really considering everything that's just happened and everything that she's about to become. To leave behind the drama of her origins and stop dancing between her parents’ pain. Ready to rise again, this time not as a product of someone else's rupture, but as the author of her own future. Her next stop is Gemini, the skies, the winds, the word. Not water, or earth, but air. The heavens, movement, ideas, and more importantly, liberation.

There’s no going back after a transit like this and that’s kind of the point. This is the goodbye kiss to feeling stagnant and unmovable, to people-pleasing and staying in things because they used to feel good. A release of fear of being adored just for being who we are, without apology. We're not longer interested in performing closeness just because we’re afraid of what distance might say about us.

Remember, the Erinyes were born from the blood of the same swift motion that birthed Venus. These are the goddesses of vengeance against men, especially those who swear a false oath, so now is not the time to continue biting our tongue until it bleeds and calling it compromise.

Your love life may feel like it’s breaking apart, your self-worth might feels like it’s unraveling, and honestly, it might be. That doesn’t mean something’s going wrong or the universe is conspiring against you, it just means something’s finally being unearthed so a new paradigm can unfold. Because Uranus doesn’t destroy, he shifts. He refuses to let you stay asleep and complacent.

Venus isn't sad, she knows she deserves more even if right now she's clinging to the past. Jupiter IS in Cancer after all, nostalgia is hard to shake. But she’s been through enough to know that what once felt like peace was actually suppression and can see that what she thought was romance was actually control. Comfort was only a bad habit in disguise.

It’s a strange kind of grief when you start to feel yourself outgrowing the things you once begged to stay in. A mixture of mourning and hope experienced as a lead-heavy weight in your chest.

But it’s also a meaningful threshold of change that most people never find the courage to push past. If you’re feeling unsure whether you’re making the right choice or if you really deserve to embrace the transformation, just take a moment to reflect on the journey that has led you here. Even in the most difficult times of struggle and heartbreak, you’ve moved closer to this place of resolve and hope which is something powerful to celebrate. The universe has a way of rewarding those who dare to welcome change with both faith and reason, and there’s still so much ahead of you to experience and enjoy. Venus and Uranus meeting at the anaretic degree of Taurus is a powerful conclusion while ushering in an exhilarating new chapter.

You don't owe your past self or anyone else to cling to dreams that no longer resonate with who you are today.

Maybe the most radical thing you can do right now is stop waiting for permission and just... jump.

Your throne in Olympus is waiting, and if you can't rise and evolve just yet, the sea will catch you.

It always has.
