Aries Venus Harsh Realities About Love
(Originally posted March 5th 2025)
I don’t know who needs to hear this during the Aries Venus retrograde, but sometimes these partners don’t actually love or even like you. They just like the way you love them. They're enjoying the feeling of knowing they have a powerful woman (or any other gender, dear reader) they can feel like they're in control of. They like the attention, the validation, the way your energy makes them feel like more than they are. They’re a little too comfortable in this dynamic with you. Maybe it unconsciously mirrors an old wound, one they’re trying to work out through you instead of within themselves. They know just the right things to say, the right amount of incompetence to weaponize, and the right amount of disrespect you'll put up with.
And because of that, they’ll keep you around just to stroke their ego, breadcrumbing you with just enough interest to keep the illusion alive.
Venus retrograde in Aries isn’t about chasing unavailable love. It’s about reclaiming your own fire. Aries is raw, instinctual, and self-focused, but in a way that reminds you of your own worth rather than burning yourself out trying to prove it to someone else. It's very reminiscent of Lilith energy, in that it refuses to submit or resign, but without the demonization that follows.
And today, the Moon is conjunct Jupiter, both sextile Venus, amplifying that little voice inside that’s craving something different. Something new. Something actually fulfilling.
Let yourself believe in the possibility of MORE. Let yourself detach from anything that keeps you small. This transit is here to show you that your energy is sacred, and not everyone deserves access to it.
If you’ve been stuck in a cycle of seeking validation from people who only give you half-hearted effort, take this transit as your permission slip to walk away, straight into a version of you that doesn’t settle for less than they deserve.
Remember that real love doesn’t leave you starving. And when you stop settling, you make space for the kind of love that mutually feeds the soul.
