Pisces New Moon 2/27/25
(Originally posted Feb 27th)
This Pisces New Moon 9° Pisces is squaring Jupiter in Gemini and forming a stellium with Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, and the North Node.
It is asking us to confront what we’ve been holding inside. Words hold power, not just in how they shape reality for us but in how they shape US. What we don’t express doesn’t simply disappear, it settles. It lingers in the body, it echoes in the mind, and manifests in ways we don’t always recognize.
Silence is not the absence of communication. It is communication turned inward, swallowed, stored. And over time, it gets heavy.
Jupiter in Gemini, sitting at 12° and squaring this lunation, amplifies this tension between expression and suppression, between the vast sea of Pisces where emotions dissolve into the ether and Gemini’s need for language, articulation, and clarity.
Jupiter wants expansion, but when it’s met with friction, it stretches things too far, making emotions feel too big to hold yet too nebulous to define. It’s like standing in front of a dam, feeling the pressure build, but not knowing if you have the right words to let it break. The question this new moon poses is "What have you been too afraid to say?"
The weight of unspoken words isn’t just metaphorical. Pisces is deeply connected to the subconscious, to the unseen currents of energy that move through us. When we suppress truth, it doesn’t just vanish—it shapeshifts. It turns into exhaustion, into anxiety, into aches that have no name. It becomes the lump in the throat, the tension in the chest, the restless nights where something feels off, but you can’t quite place what. Under today's transits, there is no escaping what we have refused to acknowledge until now. The only way forward is to release.
Speaking is not always easy, especially with Saturn conjunct Mercury within this stellium. Some words are locked behind fear, guilt, or the belief that they won’t be received as they should. Some truths feel too fluid to grasp and quantify, slipping between our fingers before we can shape them into something coherent.
And yet, this is the work of the Pisces North Node! It puts the focus on the slow unraveling of illusion, and gives us the courage to dissolve the walls between what is felt and what is spoken. South Node in Virgo has a tendency toward overanalyzing and self-editing, but Pisces' call is to surrender and express without overthinking. This new moon is not about forced confessions or perfect articulation. It’s about honoring the process of letting what’s inside breathe.
So if you’ve been carrying something unspoken around with you, such as pain, resentment, longing, love, please let this New Moon be an invitation.
Write it down. Whisper it to yourself. Share it with someone who will listen without judgment. Let it exist outside of you, even if only for a moment. Words, when released, have the power to alchemize. They do not have to be perfect, they only have to be real.
Where has silence weighed you down? What truth needs to be spoken, even if only to yourself?
The path forward is not through repression, but through release. And in that release, there is lightness. There is clarity. There is healing.
You do not have to carry what was never meant to stay inside you. Let it go. Let it breathe.
