Full Moon Leo 2/12/25

(Originally posted Feb 11th 2025)

We're in for a hell of a full moon tomorrow morning, are you feeling it already?

Mercury and Ceres join the Sun in Aquarius and add their energy into the full moon intensity, ramped up by their shared square with Uranus, which forms the apex of a t square.

A T-square is one of the more intense major aspect patterns as it is a LOUD demand for attention and expression. This particular one revolves around Mercury, Ceres, and Uranus, coming into orb of influence with the full Moon.

Mercury and Ceres are currently in Aquarius conjunct the Sun, forming a collective opposition to the Full Moon in Leo. When you combine the rational, forward-thinking energy of Aquarius with the emotional, expressive nature of Leo, there's a natural tug-of-war between the micro and the macro, the ego and the collective, the simple pleasures and the involved collective joy.

Now, add Uranus as the mouthpiece at the apex of this tense triangle, and you've got unpredictable, shocking energy that wants to shake things up and express itself in some explosive and unexpected ways.

The involvement of Ceres in this mix brings a nurturing but fiercely protective energy to the dynamic. I personally see Ceres as a symbol of the mother-child relationship once the child has developed their own identity, as evidenced by her mythos with Persephone and her willingness to go to hell and back for her child.

This energy poses questions like: How far are we willing to go to protect and nurture those we care about, especially when their individuality challenges our sense of control? What are we willing to put on the line in order to protect and nurture our children? Are we willing to put our own ego and identity aside to do the RIGHT thing for THEM? What are we doing to nurture and protect our own self, our own minds, our own emotional needs in light of all this sudden and intense change on the collective? What are we doing to nurture and protect our community in light of all this sudden and intense change on the collective?

As Ceres squares Uranus, we may feel destabilized in our material abundance, as the goddess of the harvest and agriculture. Do you know where you next meal will come from? Are you being called to help those who couldn't begin to answer that question? Relationships, particularly in situations where independence and personal identity are at stake are being thrust into the forefront of action. .

Mercury's involvement intensifies mental chatter and communication, as well as the drive for ACTION, to MOVE and do something about it. You might find yourself pulled between clinging to old ways of thinking and embracing radical new ideas. But here's the catch: Uranus isn't interested in keeping the status quo. It's pushing for transformation, no matter how chaotic that process may seem. Words can be spoken impulsively during this transit, and misunderstandings could flare up as a result. We may very well see this "conversation" continue into the retrograde cycle this March. With the Moon in expressive Leo opposing Mercury, emotions will demand a voice, whether or not they're polite and polished or even coherent.

The key is flexibility and integrity. Go with the flow, but stand on business.

Uranus thrives on freedom, so look for ways to break free from old routines and rigid thought patterns. Lean into Aquarian innovation by finding creative solutions to challenges instead of doubling down on stubborn approaches. If intense emotions bubble up, honor them without letting them control you. Find grounding practices to bring you back to center, whether it's journaling, taking a nature walk, or simply breathing deeply to calm yourself down and start pulling apart the mental frenzy that Mercury and Uranus can stir up. With Ceres in the mix, don’t forget to offer yourself the nurturing energy you need so that you CAN step up and protect and nurture the next generation. We got this!
