No Bypassing This Lunar Eclipse

(Originally posted March 11th 2025)

We have been feeling nothing but growing pains this year, and eclipse season certainly isn’t cutting us any slack. This one is the kind of heavy that sits in your chest, simmering under the surface, waiting for release through change.

The lunar eclipse on March 13th (just before midnight) lands at 23° Virgo/Pisces. Where in your chart does this degree sit? What planets are at the 21-25 degree range? This is where you'll be feeling it the most!

It feels like we're in a pressure cooker, change and tension is so thick in the air we could cut it with a knife! Retrogrades are forcing deep reflection, all while Neptune lingers at the edge of Pisces, ready to plunge into Aries for the first time since the American Civil War. This is not just another transit, this feels like the beginning of an era. Saturn conjunct the Sun is ensuring we don’t enter this shift without taking the past and what is holding us back from our future.

Black Moon Lilith is sitting inconjunct Neptune and the North Node, creating an undercurrent of emotional tension that feels intense, confusing, and inescapable. We may feel the weight of what’s unresolved, what’s been suppressed, and what in our life that's making us feel small, taken advantage of, or disempowered is demanding to be acknowledged and addressed.

And as if that weren’t enough, we’re navigating this eclipse during Mars’ post-shadow while Venus retrograde is conjunct Mercury, who will not only station retrograde just 12 hours after the eclipse at 9° Aries, but happens to be the exact degree of the upcoming solar eclipse on March 29th. These patterns aren’t coincidences! They’re threads of a larger web, weaving past and future into an undeniable call to wake up and move through intention with all the shake ups.

The Moon forms a minor grand trine with Uranus at the base and Mars at the apex. This means all of that instability, all of that raw emotional energy, is being funneled straight through Mars in Cancer. Action is the only release. Whether that manifests as a breaking point, a breakthrough, or a battle depends on how we channel it!

This lunar eclipse is the moment just before the leap, that deep inhale before we plunge into the unknown.

We can’t outrun the truth, and we can’t bypass the work. But if we surrender to the process, if we allow ourselves to integrate these lessons, we’re preparing ourselves for the real initiation: the Saturn-Neptune grand conjunction at 0° Aries next February.

This is us approaching our crossroads. What will you choose?
