Virgo Moon Transit February 2025

(Originally posted Feb 13th 2025)

The Moon in Virgo today asks us to ground ourselves in honesty and action, to channel our emotions into something tangible and REAL.

With Mercury transiting at 29 degrees of Aquarius today, the urge to speak, decide, or take a leap is intense. It feels almost like today will be the last chance to say what needs to be said before the energy shifts into the boundless uncertainty of Pisces. The detriment of Mercury is great for dreaming and creative expression, but it's transit here often leads to misunderstandings and miscommunication from projection or manipulation. The retrograde cycle of March certainly won't help.

This leaves us with a sense of urgency to act today, but instead of getting swept up in it, Virgo moon reminds us that security often comes from simply handling what’s in front of us.

In astrology, the Moon is all about emotional security and our own inner world. If our moon isnt well aspected or currently undergoing a harsh transit it's hard to fight back anxiety, fear, paranoia, and feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness.

Can you relate to this? What aspect is your moon battling against? What's worked for you?

It’s easy to spiral into wondering why things feel so heavy, the news has been so overwhelming and hitting back to back to back on the collective. Aquarius rules the zeitgeist, and it's been shifting and changing rapidly, something we knew would happen when Pluto entered the sign. Mercury at the karmic 29th degree is calling us to ACT to DO something.

Today is about meeting yourself where you are. If you feel the weight of Mercury’s anaretic intensity, let Virgo Moon guide you into productive release. Not in a way that drains you, but in a way that reinforces your ability to create stability for yourself. Sometimes that looks like taking care of your space, checking off a small task, or just reminding yourself that when the world feels overwhelming, when your mind is buzzing with too many thoughts, doing something small but meaningful can restore a sense of control.

Maybe that’s journaling through your thoughts, meal prepping so future you feels taken care of, or making a plan to tackle something in this mess. No one can do EVERYTHING, but if we all do SOMETHING we can form a beautiful mosaic together. I recently shared that I want to be a safe and inclusive postpartum doula to provide vital and confidential care to pregnant people who wouldn't be able to do in their home state.

There’s something powerful in recognizing that even when the mind tells you nothing is working, there are ways to anchor yourself back into reality. Virgo’s archetype isn’t about grand transformations, it’s about small, thoughtful efforts that add up over time.

If you're feeling lost in the mental noise today, take a moment to ask yourself: What does my Moon need? What has helped me before? What’s one thing I can do right now to remind myself that I have the power to shape my own sense of security? Mercury’s shift into Pisces tomorrow will bring a whole new emotional landscape, but today is about showing up for yourself in the most practical way possible.

Happy Lunar Return fellow Virgo Moons!
