The Darker Side of Femininity Exposed March-May 2025

(Originally posted Feb 28th)

TW this post deals with heavy topics of abuse Stop if you're feeling vulnerable today.

Since last April’s Chironic eclipse, we’ve been forced to face some hard truths about our upbringing and how it's translated into our parenting styles. We’ve spent the past year unraveling the deep-rooted wounds of abandonment, pulling apart the mess of shame and guilt that it left deep within us. The Algol activation threw domestic violence into sharp focus, exposing the ways grape and physical abuse shape and touch our lives in ways we rarely acknowledge publicly our out loud.

Then, the Leo-Cancer Mars retrograde tore the mask off toxic family dynamics, forcing us to see the enemies we once called friends and confidants. The ones we broke bread with, invited into our homes with love and openness, only to be met with disdain and gossip the moment we stood up from the table.

And now with this next cycle, we’re about to confront another truth. One that will make many people uncomfortable.

Women are dangerous and violent and pervasive abusers too and this upcoming Venus-Mercury Aries-Pisces retrograde will shine a light on the subtle and overt ways women manipulate, control, and inflict harm.

This retrograde is not just about individual realizations, it will shake the collective consciousness. The discussions it sparks will be uncomfortable, as people are forced to reconcile with the fact that abuse is not gendered. We may see waves of denial, outrage, and even legal ramifications as these truths come to light.

This time, the exposure will be public, VERY public. The release of the Ehpsteen files (intentionally misspelled), IF they're actually released in full, is going to remove room for cognitive dissonance and denial.

The truth is, women can be grapists, and pdf files. Women can be violent toward their children, children in their care and partners. Many have gotten away with it under the protective veil of gender stereotypes, weaponizing the assumption that femininity is inherently nurturing, passive, or harmless. These people follow the same playbook as their male counterparts- seeking out overwhelmed single parents and offering to ease the burden of doing everything alone in order to gain access to their victims.

Venus in Aries is bold, relentless, and unapologetically assertive but in its shadow, it turns manipulative, domineering, and ruthless in its pursuit of control and the spoils of victory.

Pisces is her home of exaltation. This is where love becomes boundless, but also where illusions and fantasy are strongest. This is where abusers hide behind devotion, martyrdom and emotional coercion. Manipulation is disguised as self-sacrifice, and victims are gaslit into believing that suffering is proof of love.

We will be forced to recognize the insidious ways Venus' dark side manifests in our everyday life and take action on it, whether that's making an active CHANGE or an active CHOICE to remain complicit.

When behaving badly, Venus becomes jealous, vindictive, competitive, and petty, waging wars not with brute force like Mars, but with seduction, deceit, and destruction that's masked as affection and praise.

Think of Aphrodite's hand in the Trojan War. A golden apple and wounded pride set fire to an entire civilization.

Think of Psyche and Eros. Venus’ jealousy sent Psyche through impossible trials, punishing her for being beautiful in the eyes of men she felt entitled to the admiration of, and for being loved by her son.

Unfortunately, this is the kind of Venus we’re about to face. The one who smiles sweetly while orchestrating someone's downfall for personal gain. The one who wounds under sheep's clothing. An organization that claims to stand for women’s empowerment or children’s welfare but are often riddled with the very corruption they claim to fight. A mother brushing her daughter’s hair just a little too rough because her husband lingered too long in a hug with her before leaving for work. A woman using sexuality as a weapon, leveraging seduction to control to gain access to vulnerable children and escape accountability when the father starts to suspect something. A mother using guilt, silent treatment, and social sabotage to keep her children emotionally under their control. A wife slapping her husband across the face in an argument, knowing he won’t hit her back or report her.

We are conditioned to overlook these things. To minimize, excuse, or justify them societally. But not anymore.

This retrograde is about stripping away the illusion that abuse only wears a masculine face. It’s about confronting the ways Venusian energy of love, beauty, and femininity can turn dark, petty, jealous, and cruel.

We have been trained to see Venusian energy as passive, receptive, and nurturing, making it difficult to recognize when it becomes weaponized. Remember, the malefic planets have their beautiful empowering energy, just like the benefics have their hedonistic and selfish sides.

As we move through this retrograde cycle until May, we must ask ourselves: Where have we ignored or excused harm simply because of who the perpetrator was? Where have we been complicit? And most importantly... how do we break the cycle?

This transit is not just about awareness, it’s about taking accountability for what we allow, what we overlook, and what we are brave enough to change.
